Tregembo Animal Park
This is our second visit to the Tregembo Animal Park. The first time we came, my son was just about 4 months old and he was strapped to me in the baby carrier. My daughter was a year and a half. We had such a wonderful day that when we knew we were coming back to North Carolina, we could not wait to go back to the Tregembo Animal Park.
From the road, it is super deceiving. You would not imagine how big and what a great space it is. Tregembo Animal Park has so many great animals and fun exhibits. One of our favorites is the giraffe there who is so friendly and comes straight over whenever it sees people approaching. It is really cool to get super close to this gentle giant. I love that they have a dinosaur section. Which is just super fun and different. Going back with my daughter who just turned 3 and my son who is now a little over a year and a half…even better the second time around!
There is so much space for them to run around. The animals are up close so they are really able to interact while being able to check things out on their own. And not being too far from us. My daughter really enjoyed being able to explore on her own and climb on different animal seats and pretend animals.
My son has always had a love for animals since he was young. He had a barn set that came with just a few animals and he would just hold the cow in one hand and the pig in the other all day long. His collection of animals since then has grown to many more farm animals and now lots of jungle animals as well. Here we are throwing peanuts to the monkey!
My son could not get enough of the ducks. They also have a lot of peacocks and big birds that are able to roam around freely. He really got a kick out of following them and talking to them. Just giggling away.
Another one of his favorites was the camel.
We fed the baby goats which is a personal favorite for me. Baby boy was not scared to put his little hand out for the goats. It was so sweet to watch.
My daughter and I found a fuzzy little caterpillar crossing the path. Which she picked up as her own and we brought it to safety to the nearest tree. I love her gentle spirit always wanted to help even the smallest creature!
Thank you Tregembo Animal Park for another great day in the books!
