We were so incredibly excited that Disney picked our family to host a #NowMoreThanEver Disney Playdate Party!!
Every day I was waiting for that magical package to come in the mail but also strategically intercepting that same package so that it would all be a surprise for the kiddies.
I could absolutely not wait to see what theme party Disney had sent us!!
We got MICKEY MOUSE!! With my son’s 3rd birthday just around the corner and Mickey Mouse being his absolute favorite, I was so happy!!!
Here’s a video of me unboxing all of the goodies that Disney sent us for our playdate party!! https://www.instagram.com/p/BzdqIPtAJ2t/
We’ve Got Ears
Everyone had so much fun trying on all different ears and of course the Mickey masks. Except for my son. Who was completely mortified of my husband wearing a mask. We have the tiniest Disney princess to the parents and grandparents. Because no matter what age you are, it is impossible not to join in on the Disney fun!

Get Cookin’
It was such a nice surprise to see that Disney included a bunch of fun recipes with our goodie box. My daughter and I spend a lot of time together in the kitchen. We choose to make the Pixie Dust Popcorn for our playdate. It was a super fast recipe. 1. Get a giant bag of popcorn. 2. Melt white chocolate. 3. Mix and coat the popcorn and top with lots of sprinkles. Quite addicting once you tried it. Definitely a big hit!
Check out my daughter cutting up the cards for the matching game that was included in our package. She loved getting to help for the party prep. We made a few of the Disney fortune tellers and left some for guests to make on their own!

#NowMoreThanEver – The Set Up
So the day started off very hot and sunny. We were expecting the playdate to be a pool party. A major storm quickly blew in and we had to scramble to move everything inside in just a few minutes! Everyone grabbed something and we had a new setup 🙂 I didn’t have any inside activities planned!!!! A bag of balloons and pin the nose on the Mickey went a long way.

Keeping it Simple
- Make sure you are able to enjoy the party!!!! That’s it!
I think it’s very easy to go over the top for parties without even realize you are doing it. Especially with kids parties. As a mom, you want everything to be perfect. It happens very quickly and I soon have a whole cart full of theme accessories when I hit the dollar or party store. Especially with Disney because everything is so cute!
For this party, I cooked a few things but I got a bunch of frozen finger foods to make life easier. Dino nuggets, smiley face fries, and pizza rolls. I made a big tray of homemade mac and cheese and a few desserts. Honestly, everyone was happy and it was so much less stress for me!!!
I wanted to keep the playdate to a small group because as the host I want to get to enjoy the day with my kids too! Sometimes you feel like you can barely talk to anyone between getting the food going, running after the kids, etc.
#NowMoreThanEver
