The easiest homemade potpourri.
I had 3 bouquets of dried flowers on my mantel. From my birthday in December. I have a hard time throwing things away that are special to me. I wanted to reuse the dried flowers. And I needed/wanted a little decor in my bathroom. So here we are.
The Easiest Homemade Potpourri
What you need:
- a vase
- dried flower petals
- any essential oil
What to do:
- Carefully pull the petals off the dried flowers. Fill vase halfway.
- Give a few hearty splashes of essential oil on top of the petals. (I used tangerine because I love the clean smell of citrus.)
- Repeat and fill vase. Top with essential oil again.
I put these vases in my bathroom and they work really well. Going on day 5 and the tangerine fragrance is still going strong. So fresh and so clean. I think they look pretty too.
I love being able to reuse things for something “new.”
